Alex Wade "Hat" Hanson, age 23, of Richland died suddenly as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Saturday morning, May 4, 2013. He was born in Yorkville, Michigan on December 27, 1989, the loving son of David and Gaylia (Wade) Hanson.
Alex is survived by his parents, David and Gaylia Hanson; his sister, Chelsey (Brandon) Bickford of Alaska; his brother, Jason (Shar) Danhoff of North Muskegon; his grandmother, Yvonne Hanson of Texas; his great-aunt, Doris Harback of Kalamazoo; his aunts, Maureen (Roger) Utzinger of Texas and Kristine Fitzgerald of Mount Pleasant; his uncles, Steven (Marilyn) Wade of Arkansas, Robert (Donna) Hanson of Florida, and several cousins, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gustof Adolph Hanson and Dorothea & Aubrey Wade.
A true lover of the outdoors, Alex enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating & all water sports, and riding his motorcycles. A very loving, giving and helpful man, Alex would do anything for those in need and truly loved spending time with his family and many friends.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home- Richland Chapel, 9170 East D. Avenue, Richland. A memorial service to celebrate Alex's life will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Gull Lake Area Community Church, 9292 East CD Avenue, Richland.
