"Uncle Sonny" Alfred Hoyle, age 89 went home July 11th, 2022.
He was a happy Grandpa, and former employee of Motor Wheel, from which he retired after 26 years of service. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, with his last deployment to Tokyo, Japan in 1954. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, and following the Korean War, during a challenging time in our country for young men of color, Alfred studied Child Psychology for several years at Lane College (Jackson, TN) .
Survivors include his wife Juanita "Nita" Hoyle; sister-in-law Maxine Richardson of Lansing, MI; 2 sons Anthony Hoyle (Miami, FL) and Sanford Hoyle (Flint, MI) 1 Daughter Evelyn Hoyle (Jackson, TN); Nieces and Nephews: Barbara, William Earle, Dorthy, Geneva, Hildra and RoseAna Hoyle; not too mention close nephew Carl Douglas Richardson II "Dougie" of Lansing; and a host of Grand Nieces and Nephews; 4 Grandkids: Ariel and Anthony Hoyle of Tampa, FL, Nikola Hoyle of Miami, FL, and Amelia Hoyle of Dacula, GA. Alfred is preceded in death by all of his Brothers and sisters: Marion, William, Morris, Eveline and James Hoyle, special brother-in-law Carl Richardson Senior, and daughter Barbara Jean Hoyle.
Friends may visit Mr. Hoyle Friday, July 22, 2022 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home; 105 Capital Avenue N.E., Battle Creek, MI 49017. Funeral Services will be held following visitation at 10am. Burial Service will be officiated promptly at 11:00am with Military assistance, at Fort Custer Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012 (Kalamazoo County).
