Alfred Carl "Al" Lofgren

Alfred Carl "Al" Lofgren, age 80, of Augusta passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, April 15, 2021. He was born in Battle Creek on November 23, 1940, the son of Carl John and Lavinia G. (Webber) Lofgren.

Al married the "Love of His Life", Mary C. Hirakis at the First Presbyterian Church, Battle Creek on June 27, 1964; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Jon Lofgren of Augusta, Jennifer (Grant) Redhead of Bryan, Ohio, Jason (Sandra) Lofgren of Richland; and two granddaughters, Lauren and Allison Redhead.

An accomplished musician and pilot, Al loved music and flying. He was also an avid classic car and motorcycle enthusiast.

A private family memorial service has been held. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Chicago or the Music Center of South Central Michigan.
