Allyn William "AJ" Reeve, Jr. of Battle Creek, MI











AJ, age 27, died as a result of a homicide on Tuesday morning, June 17, 2014 at his residence.




AJ, the son of Allyn William and Teresa Marie (Petrous) Reeve, Sr., was born on June 30, 1986 in Wyandotte, MI and was a 2004 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. AJ received a Dental Assistant certificate from Everest. He was an Assistant Manager for Besco Water Treatment Company of Battle Creek. AJ enjoyed and loved to play any and all sports especially baseball. He was a Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed Michigan football. AJ also devoted much of his free time in creating his own music.


Surviving is his father and step-mother, Allyn (Stacy) Reeve, Sr. of Battle Creek; his mother and step-father, Teresa (John) Dobias of Ionia, MI; his sister, Kristina A. Reeve of Ionia; his brother, Jacob A. (Cassie) Reeve of Omaha, NE; his paternal grandmother, Elma Jo (Mac) McNees of Battle Creek; his maternal grandmother, Maryann Petrous of Taylor, MI; three step-brothers, Benajamin P. and Brian J. Norton-both of Battle Creek and Nicholas R. Norton of Lansing, MI; four aunts, Julie Kaser of Bronson, MI; Martha Petrous of New York City, NY, Laura Petrous of Tawas, MI and Sara Petrous of Dallas, TX and an uncle, Marvin Petrous of Taylor, MI and his cousins, Jeff Tomaschewsky, Samatha & Christopher Malone. AJ was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leland H. Reeve, Jr. and his maternal grandfather, Marvin J. Petrous.





The Funeral Service to celebrate AJ's life will be held on Friday, June 20th at 3:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek, with the Rev. Harold K. Garms, Pastor of the Morningstar Christian Center Church of Battle Creek, officiating. Friends will be received by the family on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
