Andrew Lewis Babick

Andrew Lewis Babick, age 78, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2020. Andrew was born in Pontiac, Michigan on April 29, 1942, the son of Lewis and Bernedia (Snyder) Babick.

After high school, Andrew married the "Love of His Life", Christine Rothwell in Battle Creek on November 16, 1960. Together they had five children, three daughters and two sons. Andrew is survived by his wife, Christine Babick; his children, Cynthia (Johnny) Morris of Springfield, Treza (Dan) Dilling of Battle Creek, Andrew (Traci) Babick of Sturgis, Michael (Tamlyn) Babick of Tennessee, and Shannon (Steve) Knight of Battle Creek; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Nancy Rothwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernedia & Lewis Babick; his beautiful granddaughter, Kayla Babick; and two brothers, Barry & Michael Babick.

After retiring from the City of Battle Creek, Andrew spent most of the time with his family. He enjoyed fishing & camping on their yearly fishing trips, family cookouts, and spending a lot of time with his grandchildren and being at the lake.

The family will receive friends 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where a memorial service to celebrate Andrew's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday. Memorials directed to the family would be appreciated.
