Ann (Anne) Emma Lawson was born on October 24, 1930 in Tuckers Ridge, Arkansas to George and Pearl Pearce. She married John F. Lawson on December 13, 1950 in Bradford, Arkansas. For 47 years, Ann was very involved in supporting her husband, planting several churches in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan as they raised their seven children. Ann was a strong woman who lived her life well, through good times and difficult times, with grace and faith. She loved her family deeply and was welcoming and gracious to all she encountered. She loved her church family and was a long time member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, working tirelessly with them to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ann is survived by seven children, Jan (Mary Jo) Lawson, Denise (Kenny) Root, Ben (Deborah) Lawson, Len (Marlene) Lawson, Van (Michelle) Lawson, Kathy (Dan) Johnson, J Clarke (Susan) Lawson; sisters, Betty Cornelison and Faye Wells; sister-in-law Nancy Kinney, 44 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren, along with many loving nieces and nephews and her church family.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband John F. Lawson, grandson John Keith Root, her parents, George and Pearl Pearce, siblings George Pearce, Andrew Jackson Pearce, Mary Rilla Hansen, Marge House, Hess Johnson, and Lutie Livingston.
Services for Ann will be on Tuesday, July 18, at 9:00 a.m. at Grace Community Church in Pennfield. There will be a visitation held on Monday, July 17 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. for family and friends.
