Barbara J. Hagelshaw

Barbara J. "Barb" Hagelshaw, age 82, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on Friday morning, October 14, 2022.  She was born in Battle Creek on October 3, 1940, the loving daughter of Alva and Leone (Dolan) Harmon.  Barbara retired from the Battle Creek Federal Center on September 30, 2000 after more than 25 years as an executive secretary and wintered in Alva, Florida from 2003 to 2018.
 
Barb married the "Love of her Life" Kenneth R. "Ken" Hagelshaw in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1959; he sadly preceded her in death on August 27, 2011 after more than 51 beautiful years of marriage.  She is survived by her children, Scott Hagelshaw, Steve (Laura) Hagelsahw and Vicki (Leon) Bartlett; her grandchildren, Lance (Kimber) Hayward, Seth (Chris) Dennis, Evan Dennis, Logan Macka, Kaleb Hagelshaw, Makena Bartlett, Dawson Bartlett, and Asher Bartlett; a great-grandson, Luke Hayward; a brother, Kenneth Harmon; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Richard) Wise; and several nieces & nephews.    Barb was also preceded in death by her parents.

Family truly meant everything to Barb and she loved entertaining and family get togethers.  She also enjoyed bowling, line dancing, traveling, and of course wintering in Alva and Oak Park, Florida.  If Barb could throw a party, she would do anything to have just that, "A Party".
