Barry L. Brock

Barry L. Brock, 67, of Richland went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday August 31 2024. He was born March 13 1957 in Trenton, MI to Gordon and Jean (Campbell) Brock. From a very young age he was interested in figuring out how things worked and would take apart and reassemble his toys and the family’s radio & toaster. Barry started his career after graduating from the Detroit Engineering Institute in 1977. He spent a lengthy career challenging himself and working for companies like Quality Bakery, Post Cereals, Pfizer and Kellogg’s. 

Barry was united in marriage to the former Rachel Roaden on December 26 1981 who survives. He is also survived by their two daughters Heather and Amanda, his brothers in-law Mark Roaden and Herschel R. Roaden (Janet) and his many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry Brock, and his sisters Dawn Abner and Sandra Carlson.

Barry was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Plainwell and was very passionate about sharing his faith with others. He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, spending time with his family at their cabin and most of all tinkering out in his workshop. 

Funeral services to celebrate Barry’s life will be at 11:00 am Saturday September 7, 2024 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, officiated by Paster Steve Smail. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 am.
