Becky Lee Warren

July 7, 1938 — November 16, 2024

Springfield

Becky Lee (Markos) Warren, 86, of Springfield, MI passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Becky was born on July 7, 1938 in Battle Creek, MI to Nicholas and Rosemond (Drew) Markos. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1956. Following her education, she went on to work for Kellogg’s, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Kellogg’s 25 year club.

Becky met her husband, Richard O. Warren, at the Old Mill in Bedford, MI. They went on to marry on August 30, 1958. Richard and Becky were blessed with two daughters, Victoria and Shelly.

Becky loved her family and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Becky enjoyed baking, and especially making sweet treats for her son-in-law, Larry. She enjoyed road trips and warm weather and cherished the memory of traveling to the beach with her daughters this past year. She spent Wednesday morning's meeting her group of close friends for lunch, and those evenings on the phone with her brother, Henry, watching Survivor. Becky loved Taco Bell so much you did not ever have to ask her where she wanted to eat. She loved to help others and would give a helping hand to anyone in need. While Becky had a fulfilling career and many hobbies, her truest joy in life was being a grandmother. She spent her time being the biggest cheerleader for her grandkids, attending all sporting and school events. Becky’s love for her grandchildren was boundless, and she found great happiness in family holidays and taking them shopping.

Becky is survived by her husband, Richard Warren; daughter, Shelly (Larry) Tebo; grandchildren, Dominick (Erin Mitrzyk) Decker, Shaylynn and Colton Tebo; and brother, Henry Markos. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Rosemond Markos; daughter, Victoria Decker; brothers, Jamie Markos, Drew Markos, Ronnie Markos and Chris Markos; and sisters, Zara Markos, Nicolette Visker, Marcia Yaw, and Effie Thiede; and half-sisters, Violet Markos and Evelyn Alexander.
