Bernard Melbourne "Bernie" Wolf

Bernard Melbourne Wolf, 93, of Marshall died with his family at his side at Verona Assisted Living on Thursday, July 30, 2015.

He was born December 26, 1921 in Noble County, Indiana to Walter E. and Cleo S. (Butz) Wolf. Bernie grew up in Ligonier, Indiana and was a graduate of Cromwell High School. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII. He owned and operated Wolf's Floor Covering, the family business that was established in 1955 in Marshall.

Bernie was united in marriage to the former Melva Wright on March 14, 1948 in Cromwell, Indiana. Surviving are Melva, his wife of 67 years; two daughters, Kathleen K. (Russell) Pryor, Michele D. (Bill) Wilkerson; son, B. Mark (Deborah) Wolf all of Marshall; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Bernard was a member of Marshall United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a former board president and 20 year board member at Chemical Bank in Marshall. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Private memorial services were held for the family at Marshall United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be held at Oakridge Cemetery, Marshall, MI.
