Betty J. Harger

Betty J. Harger, age 87 of Battle Creek died Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born in Jackson, Michigan on July 23, 1937, and was the daughter of Traverse and Beatrice Fruin. Betty loved chasing & watching the Hot Air Balloons and spending time with her family and her beloved cat, “Baby Girl”. 

Betty married Duane C. Harger Sr. in Battle Creek on May 3, 1965; he sadly preceded her in death on September 7, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her son, Duane C. Harger Jr. and her parents. Betty is survived by her daughter, Diane (Bobby) Bradstreet; her step-daughter, Becky Wilson; her grandchildren, Craig (Jocelyn) Bradstreet and Sarah (Matt) Bassler; her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Gabriel, Alice, and Aida Bassler; her brother, Art (Debbie) Fruin; her sister, Barb Martin; and several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Bedford Cemetery.
