Brenda Elaine Erway (80) of Battle Creek passed on November 2, 2021. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born on September 24, 1941 in Marshall, Michigan to Walter and Maxine Venn. Brenda graduated high school in Marshall and attended Western Michigan University. She met her husband Roger while at university. They married in 1963. In addition to being a wise and dedicated wife, mother and grandma, she worked outside the home as a fund solicitor for the Saint Columban Fathers, at the State Farm Home Office in Marshall, in supply management at Bill Knapps, and at Battle Creek City in the Accounting Department.

Surviving family members include her husband Roger Erway, sister Judith Baker (Larry), brother Alan Venn (Kathleen), daughter Amy E. Mininberg (David), son Steven Erway (Carolyn), and son Robert Erway. She also has four grandchildren: Lucas, Grace, Emma and Julia. All of her children, grandchildren, and extended family were loved by her with passion and abandon.

In her young adulthood, Brenda enjoyed square dancing, bowling, and reading fiction. She also enjoyed travel and camping with friends and family for many years. In later life Brenda enjoyed playing bingo and gambling at the local casino; she had many friends at both locations. She also enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, playing the piano, and watching college and professional football.

There will be a service for family and friends at Hicks Cemetery in the Summer of 2022 to celebrate her life.
