Carl E. Cameron, 71, of Battle Creek, died December 14, 2020. Carl was born May 27, 1949 in Battle Creek to Dorr and Ruth (Kellogg) Cameron. Carl proudly served in the United States Navy and worked for Grand Trunk as a diesel mechanic for a brief time. He was a member of the American Legion Oscar Brady Post. 298 for 51 years and DAV Chapter 7.

Carl loved studying history particularly WWII. He was very handy and could fix most things, especially anything with wheels.

Carl married Elsie Giver on March 26, 1977, who survives. Also surviving are their four children: Stephanie (David Dewey) Cameron, Joey Cameron, Heather Cameron and Kimberly (Levi Fuller) Cameron; a granddaughter, Sydney (Sam Mahr) King; a brother, Bert (Marilyn) Cameron; a sister, Audrey Sampeer and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carla Lindsey; a brother, William Cameron; brother-in-law Don Sampeer and an aunt, Marguerite Shelton.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private, family only service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
