Carol Ann (King) Spoor

Carol Ann Spoor, 81 died peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Bronson B.C.

Carol was born December 21, 1938 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Charles and Margaret (MacLennan) King. She was a 1951 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and attended WMU, as well as KCC where she received her Associates Degree. Later she returned to work for the MSU Education Dept. and then for Humbarger & Zebell.

Carol married Lawrence "Larry" Spoor on June 5, 1959 and they were married for 59 wonderful years. She is survived by her daughter, Laura A. Krause and a son, Douglas C. Spoor both of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Alexandra Angelo, Tyler and Ariana Spoor; and great-grandson, Rexin Spoor.

Carol has been a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir for many years. She was a member of the PTA and the Bronson BC Hospital Auxiliary. She was a Camp Fire Leader and followed her children's sports and community activities. She enjoyed reading, dominos, needlework, RV camping and was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cats.

Friends will be received 12:00 noon – 12:55 p.m. Thursday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where a funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020. Interment for immediate family will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
