Charles P. McDaniel

Charles P. McDaniel, age 69, of Battle Creek Michigan passed away on December 29, 2023. Charles, fondly known as Chuck, was born on July 3, 1954 to Jean and Thurman McDaniel in Evansville, Indiana.

Chuck enjoyed listening to music, spending time with family, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Chuck was a good-hearted man who always had time to help others. His sense of humor was always present be it the nickname that he gave you or the ring tone that he saved with your number.

Chuck is survived by his father, Thurman McDaniel of Battle Creek; his son, Jason McDaniel of Galesburg; his daughters, Fawn McDaniel of Bellevue and Katie Hillis  of Springfield; his brothers, Al McDaniel of Hudson and Ken McDaniel of Urbandale; his sisters, Charlotte Wilson of Battle Creek and Wilma Randall of Olivet; granddaughters; Alexandrea McDaniel of Galesburg, Isis Knight of Bellevue and Lilith Wooten of Springfield; grandsons, Thurman McDaniel of Galesburg, Phoenix Knight of Bellevue, and Leon Wooten of Springfield. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Jean; brother, Donnie; and son, Matthew Hillis.

A memorial service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 12^th at the Christ United Methodist Church, 65 Bedford Rd. N, Battle Creek, MI 49037.
