Charles Reynold Paus passed away peacefully at his home in Augusta, MI, on the morning of Monday, May 20th, 2024.
Chuck was born August 17th, 1960 in Battle Creek but spent most of his life in the Galesburg-Augusta area, graduating from G-A highschool in 1978. He spent his youth having fun with his buddies and hitchhiking across the country, making it as far as California. He took pride in his career as a milk processor at Roelof Dairy, where he made lifelong friends and great stories to tell. His unbeatable kindness and sense of humor touched hearts. Everyone that met him was guaranteed to have a laugh. He enjoyed collecting oddities and watching Michigan football games.
Chuck’s main love in life was being a papa to his four grandsons: Grayson Paus, Dominic Nelson, Tucker Sloan and Dylan Nelson. They were his whole world.
Also surviving Chuck’s death are his mother, Polly Evans, ex-wife and lifelong friend Dana Paus, their children, Joe Paus, Paige (Rebecca) Sloan, Mackenzie (Tyler) Nelson and a nephew Travis Doolittle. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheri Doolittle, and his father William “Pa” Evans.
A service will be held for Chuck in early July. The family will post more details when arrangements have been made.Personal messages for Chuck’s family may be shared at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
