Chastity D. Dewalt

Chastity D. DeWalt, age 35, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away unexpectedly July 9, 2021. She was born in Marshall, Michigan on August 16, 1985, the daughter of Danny and Beverly Kay (Stewart) Newsome. Chastity was extremely talented. She loved to sing, enjoyed painting, fishing and was devoted to God.

Chastity was previously married to Ian Wilkerson and Charles DeWalt, both ending in divorce. She is survived by her parents, Beverly & Dennis Malone and step-mom, Dovie Newsome; her children, Alliysn, Elyvia, and Owen Wilkerson, Isabella, Charlie, and Wyatt DeWalt; her brothers, Cameron Millsap, Joey & Robbie Malone, Dennis & Matthew Juppstrom, Preston & Bradley Wetzel and Daniel Stoughton; her sisters, Brooke Malone and Brittany Newsome; and her grandparents, Robert & Susan Stewart, Michael & Dawn Malone, and Kathy Stewart. Chastity was preceded in death by her son, Mixon DeWalt; her brother, Jeremy Newsome; her father, Danny Newsome; and her grandmothers, B.J. Malone and Mildred Delmar.

The family will receive friends 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 16th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday.
