Christine Margaret Marcinkowski

Christine Margaret( Pierce) Marcinkowski, age 86, of Richland, MI, died Wednesday evening, April 3, 2013 at the Evergreen Senior Care
Center of Springfield, MI, following a lengthy illness.
Christine, the daughter of John W. Pierce and Deannie Ellan (Workman) Pierce, was born on March 17, 1927 in Mount Pleasant, TN.
She retired from Detroit, MI to Pawtucket, RI and moved to Richland in
1999. Christine was the Manager at Sanders Confectioners of Detroit
and retired after 35 years of faithful service. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Gull Lake (Augusta), MI. Christine enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, just about anything being in the Outdoors, but her true passion in life was her grandchildren.
In 1948, in Detroit, MI, Christine was united in marriage to George F. Marcinkowski and he preceded her in death in
1973. Surviving is her daughter, Rena E. (Thomas) Fians of
Hyannis, MA; her son, George P. (Pat) Marcinkowski of Richland; six
precious grandchildren, Joanne E. (Greg) Mikol, Kathryn L. (Michael)
Howes, George Timothy Marcinkowski, Michelle Fians and the twins,
Caitlyn and Eryn Fians; by three great grandchildren, Chloe, Elena and
Marissa Howes and by numerous nieces and nephews. Christine was
preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Christine's
life will be held on Saturday, April 13th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann
Catholic Church, 12648 East D Avenue, Augusta, with Father Christopher
J. Derda, Celebrant and Deacon Michael A. Carl, Assisting. There will
be no visitation at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Richland
Chapel (269-629-6022). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in
Christine's honor may be directed to the Charity of one's choice.
