Clyde W. Sears, Jr.

Clyde W. Sears, Jr., age 61, of Byron Center, MI, formerly of Battle Creek, MI, died unexpectedly Friday, December 28, 2012, at his residence. Clyde, the son of Clyde W. and Beverly L. (Bennett) Sears, was born on October 5, 1951 in Battle Creek. He was a 1969 graduate of Battle Creek Harper Creek High School and attended Kellogg Community College for two years. Clyde was employed with Clark Equipment of Battle Creek and made the move to Georgetown, KY with Clark. For the past 20 years, he was the Director of Customer Service for ViaStore of Grand Rapids, MI. Clyde was a dedicated golfer, who enjoyed a round of golf, wherever and whenever! Clyde is survived by his mother, Beverly L. Sears of Battle Creek; his brother, Dale A. (Michele) Sears of Charleston, SC and his niece, Jessica M. (Tyler) Curtis of Kalamazoo, MI. Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Clyde, Sr. on February 26, 1997. The Graveside Service to celebrate Clyde's life was held on Wednesday, April 17th at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, Battle Creek, MI, with Rev. Jack Langfeldt, officiating.
