Cynthia Kay Kinney, 74, of Lowell and formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, after a lengthy battle with various medical conditions.
Cynthia was born March 31, 1949, in the Chicago, Illinois area to Mary (Vary) Fausett and the late James Fausett. She grew up in Battle Creek and was a 1967 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Cynthia was employed in the offices of several insurance companies over the years.
Cynthia Kay Fausett was united in marriage to Dennis Royal Kinney on 8/23/68 in Kalamazoo. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis on July 8, 2006. Surviving is their daughter, Lisa (Pat) Gilbert of Lowell, MI. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents.
Cindy and Denny loved attending the hot air balloon festivals in Battle Creek and always made a week of it. They also enjoyed car shows, hot rods, hanging out along the Lake Michigan shoreline especially Grand Haven, shopping and just being together. Cynthia loved the color purple, hot air balloons, flamingos, cats from afar due to allergies, watching TV, her grand-dogs and rock music, especially Led Zeppelin.
A service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2435 W. Territorial Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015.
