David Earl Davis

David Earl “Dave” Davis, age 77, of Kalamazoo went to be with his Lord & Savior on Friday morning, December 29, 2023 at the Kairos Dwelling.  Dave was born in Battle Creek on December 1, 1946, the loving son of Herman and Velda (Cheney) Davis. He faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Navy and retired from the Richland Home Center after more than 50 years.

Dave married the “Love of His Life”, Linda K. Merrick at the Gull Lake Bible Church on October 26, 1968; she survives.  He is also survived by his mother, Velda Davis; his children, Mark (Janet) Davis and Angi (Ron) Payne; his grandchildren, Eric (Samantha) Terry and Anna Davis; brother, Don (Ann) Davis; sister, Janet (Tom) Waltz; and several nieces & nephews.  Dave was preceded in death by his father, Herman Davis; and a sister, Carol Dollaske.

Dave truly loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Gull Lake Bible Church.  He was also a member of the Kalamazoo Barbershop Chorus and enjoyed golfing, woodworking, building & working on homes, and spending time with his family.
