Diane E. Sklenicka

Diane E. Sklenicka, 42, of Battle Creek went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.

Diane was born June 21, 1970 in Battle Creek to Alvis R. and Sharan R. (Stevens) Sklenicka. She attended Lakeview Schools and was a 1989 graduate of Harper Creek High School. Diane was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and sang in the chancel choir. Diane had many interests, including jigsaw puzzles, feeding and identifying birds and listening to music. She was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Michigan State basketball and football.

Diane is survived by her loving parents, Al and Sharan Sklenicka of Battle Creek; a brother, Lynn Thomas "Tom" (Lisa) Sklenicka of Plainfield, IL; former sister-in-law, Christi (Sklenicka) Coipel, and four nephews, Nick, Dylan, Sean and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her brother Steven Sklenicka in 2001.

Friends will be received 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home.

Funeral services to celebrate Diane's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church,157 Chapel Hill Drive, Battle Creek 49015. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
