Dianna Lynn (Wilson) Willavize of Battle Creek, MI

Dianna, age 63, died unexpectedly Friday morning, November 30, 2018 at her residence.

Dianna, the daughter of Edward and Frances "Peggy" (Smith) Wilson was born in Washington, D.C on September 8, 1955; moved to this area in 1963 and attended Pennfield High School. She was the consummate housewife running the daily household for her family and loved every minute of it!

Dianna loved her family with all that she had and got no greater joy than spending time surrounded by the ones she loved. She loved nothing more than attending her children's activities, being the best cheerleader and supporter, which later translated into her grandchildren's events. There was not a person or animal she did not love. She drew great joy by feeding and watching the wildlife around her home as well as loving numerous four-legged family members along the way. She loved the holidays or more importantly, any reason to spoil those around her. She took great pride in decorating and enjoyed all holiday seasons, especially Christmas, which was her favorite. Dianna will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Dianna was united in marriage to Chriss Allen Willavize in Battle Creek on September 7, 1984. Surviving is her husband of 34 years, Chriss; a daughter, Kristin L. Willavize of Battle Creek; four sons, Edward Wilson of Battle Creek, Shawn (Hilary) Willavize of Galesburg, MI, Chriss A. (Billie) Willavize of Kendallville, IN and William (Stephanie) Willavize of Battle Creek and by six precious grandchildren: Sebastian, Whitney, Jessica, Chrisstopher, Caleb & Justine. Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Wilson.

The Funeral Service to celebrate Dianna's life will be held on Friday, December 7th at 1:00 P.M. in the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek with Father Brian Coleman, Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Battle Creek, officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Dianna's family will greet friends on Friday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Memorial contributions in Dianna's honor may be directed to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, 2500 Watkins Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015.
