Donna and Jerry Castleberry, passed away hand in hand, Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Ascension Borgess Hospital due to complications from Covid-19. They were married at a young age, spent a lifetime together and entered into eternal rest together. Donna was born February 2, 1938 in Battle Creek to Donald and Alice (Cross) McConnohie. Jerry was born October 29, 1941 in Battle Creek to Lennie and Florence (Camp) Castleberry.
Both attended Battle Creek Central High School and settled down in the Battle Creek area, where they worked and raised their family. Donna worked as a nursing assistant at various doctor's offices while Jerry worked for General Motors. The couple had two children, Tammy Stacey (Jack Smith) and Tim (Kari) Castleberry, both of whom survive. They are also survived by four grandchildren Jason (Rachel) Stacey, Tim Stacey, Sage and Maya Castleberry and three great-daughters Ava, Haylee and Claire. Donna is also is survived by her brother Allan (Elaine) McConnohie, her niece Michele (Doug) Craig and family and nephew Shawn (Chasity) Stotler and family Jerry is survived by his brother Larry (Adeline) Castleberry and nephew Patrick Castleberry.
Donna and Jerry are preceded in death by their parents and son in law Dr. Michael Stacey.
A graveside service to celebrate Donna and Jerry's lives will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Derek Malone.
