Dorothy D. Carter, 90, of Battle Creek, died June 7, 2020 at Reflections Memory Care. Dorothy was born March 29, 1930 in Saddy Daisy, TN to John and Sarah (Penny) Parrot. She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. One year she received the Beautiful Battle Creek Award. Most of all, she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved God, her family and all children.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Betty Rice; a nephew and special caregiver, Jimmie Rice, a nephew, Jerry Chadwick; two nieces, Judy Keeler and Brenda Harley and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruby Walker, Reba Smith and Imagene Chadwick and three brothers, Millard, J.W. and J.C. Parrot.
A private service to celebrate Dorothy's life was held by the family at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Interment was at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
