Eva L. Vaughn, age 30, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 7, 2015. She was born in Battle Creek on February 25, 1985, the loving daughter of John E. and Dorothy (Sevastopoulos) Vaughn. Eva graduated from Marshall High School where she was in the band and choir. She furthered her education at Kellogg Community College and Everest Institute.
Eva is survived by her parents Dorothy and John Vaughn of Battle Creek; a sister, Elli Vaughn; a half brother, John L. Vaughn; her maternal grandmother, Eva Sevastopoulos; uncles, Kosta (Kim) Sevastopoulos and Theodore Sevastopoulos; a nephew, Emmanuel; nieces, Dorothy, Corrine, and several cousins. She was sadly preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Laurene & Fred Vaughn, and her maternal grandfather, Emmanuel Sevastopoulos.
Eva enjoyed learning, playing softball, swimming, and regularly attended St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church and the Salvation Army. She had a great love for animals, music, and spending time with her family and good friends, but especially her nieces & nephew.
The family will receive friends 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1020 W. Goguac Street, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate Eva's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2015. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
