Florabelle "Belle" Samfilippo

Florabelle "Belle" Samfilippo, age 95, of Hickory Corners passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning, April 9, 2022. She was born in Hysota, Pennsylvania on January 20, 1927, the daughter of Martin and Rose (Jelsomeno) Busatti. Over the years, Belle worked at Knopp's Pharmacy, Norton Surgical Supply and the Hamburg Senior Center.

Belle married the "Love of Her Life", Samuel "Sam" Samfilippo in Wyandotte, Michigan on August 17, 1946; he sadly preceded her in death on January 13, 2022. She is survived by her children, Samuel (Amy) Samfilippo, Jr. and Antoinette "Toni" George; her grandchildren, Megan (Michael) Spencley, Joshua George, Jeffery (Dawn) Samfilippo, Jennifer (Demil) Harris, and Michael Samfilippo; a sister, Josephine Neasz, and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Belle was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and three sisters.

Belle loved entertaining and hosting family reunions. A true "Card Shark" she especially enjoyed playing Pinochle and Euchre. Belle always tried to have homemade bread for her family & friends, and enjoyed cooking & baking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21st at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel where services to celebrate Belle & Sam's lives will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday. Interment with full military honors will follow at Cressey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
