Frederick John "Fred" Brenner, 90, of Battle Creek died on May 15, 2019.
Fred was born November 23, 1929 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of George Paul and Helen A. (Gustke) Brenner. He was a 1948 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Fred honorably served in the U.S. Army overseas in Germany. He retired in 1985, as an electrician in the Experimental Machinery Department from the Kellogg Company, where he was employed for 35 years. He also worked as an independent electrical contractor beginning in 1965.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Ruth (Smith) Brenner; five children, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters.
Fred had a gift and he could build or repair anything, whether it be mechanical or electrical. He previously enjoyed hunting and fishing. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
