Georgia Odette (David) Eddy, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. 

Georgia was born January 25, 1941, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of George L. and Doris M. (Pierce) David. She grew up in Battle Creek and was a 1959 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Georgia was employed for seven years in the offices at the former Community Hospital, was a Homemaker for awhile and then was employed as a food demonstrator for Gordon Foods for 17 years. Georgia was also employed as the church secretary at Capital Avenue Church of God and Minges Hill Church of God. 

Georgia Odette David was united in marriage to Rex Lee Eddy at Capital Avenue Church of God in Battle Creek on September 19, 1964. Georgia was preceded in death by her husband Rex, on April 4, 2017. Surviving are their two daughters, Annette M. (Eric) Bell and Mellissa R. (Tim) Castorr, both of Battle Creek; five precious grandchildren, Alecia Bell Dean, David Rapp, Ethan Bell, Aaron Bell and Joshua Bell; four great grandchildren, five foster children over her lifetime with Rex; two sisters, Joyce A. Krontz and Dorothy J. Fletcher both of Battle Creek and several nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband, Georgia was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Gary Krontz.

Georgia was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a former Bible Study Fellowship Leader. Georgia was also a former member of Capital Avenue Church of God and Minges Hills Church of God. She loved the color purple, singing duets with her husband, Rex, meeting people and forming relationships. Georgia was an avid reader and enjoyed music, art and painting parties with family and friends. Her pastimes were filled with looking for lions, unicorns and angels playing violins. Georgia will be remembered for her outgoing personality, love of family and friends, her social skills and concern for others.

Friends will be received 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, where a funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27th, 2024. Committal and interment will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery, 24500 M Drive South, Homer, MI; where Georgia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Rex.
