Jack Standish peacefully passed away on March 23, 2025, at Ashford Court Senior Living in Westland, MI, at the age of 88. Jack was born February 12, 1937 in Battle Creek, MI to Joseph and Fannie Mae. After High School, Jack served his country as a Military Policeman in the US Army. After his service, Jack married and had two sons. In 1969, Jack joined National Bank of Rochester where he became Assistant Vice President, heading the Michigan BankAmericard Division. Jack was a member of the Rochester Area Jaycees and the American Institute of Banking. Jack’s enthusiasm for the open road and passion for driving eventually led him to switch careers to truck driving where he retired from E&L Transit after many happy years on the road.
Jack is survived by his son, Joseph Standish of Fort Worth, TX and brother, Leslie (Cindy) Standish of Battle Creek, MI. He was proceeded in death by his son, John, brothers, Richard and Charles; sisters, Josie Gorham and Kathy Nichols.
Funeral services to celebrate Jack's life will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek, MI. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jack’s remarkable life.
