Jackie Bauman

Jackie Bauman, age 82 of Delton, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 20, 1942, the loving daughter of Thomas and Juanita (Williams) Darnell and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Jackie served as vice-president of Bauman Contracting, which she and her husband John, owned & operated for more than 25 years.

Jackie is survived by the “Love of Her Life”, John E. Bauman; her children, Suzy Bauman of Delton, Linda Bauman of Kalamazoo, and John (Alison) Bauman of California; her grandchildren, Harvey High, Nick (Jenna) Byers, Oskar Bauman, Max Bauman, and Airlie Bauman; and her great-grandchildren, Blake High, Kaydence High, and Ava High. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roy Darnell. 

Jackie enjoyed listening to Rock & Roll music, especially AC/DC, flower gardening, and traveling to Italy, Mexico and Las Vegas, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel where services to celebrate Jackie’s life will begin at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA of Southwest Michigan (www.spcaswmich.org), would be appreciated.
