Jason Adam Park, 49 of Battle Creek died on Saturday, October 17, 2020, due to injuries sustained in a single car accident on Uldricks Road in Bedford Township.
Jason was born February 17, 1971 in Battle Creek the son of John Joseph and Sheila Gale (Hayes) Park. He grew up in Battle Creek, was a 1989 graduate of Springfield High School and attended Kellogg Community College briefly. He was currently employed as the Lighting Customer Coordinator at Landscape Forms of Kalamazoo. Previously, Jason was employed for Denso Manufacturing, Best Buy and selling real estate for Re-Max Reality.
Surviving are his children, Nathan Adam (Carissa) Park and Savanna Nichole Park; a granddaughter, Blake Adeline Park all of Battle Creek; his mother, Sheila Gale Opala of Grandville; his father, John Joseph Park of Augusta; a brother, Justin Matthew (Tracy) Park of Battle Creek; a sister, Melissa Ann (Scot) Randall of Charlotte and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
Jason was a diehard Raiders fan. He also followed the Cubs and the University of Michigan. He played basketball and baseball in high school, coached his son's high school basketball and football team, and enjoyed pick-up games of basketball. He was a movie buff; he loved taking Savanna to all of the new releases, especially horror movies. He was hilarious and quick witted with a sarcastic sense of humor. He was very intelligent and a Jeopardy wiz. He loved people, was outgoing, would do anything for anyone and once he was your friend, he was always your friend. He loved his family, especially his new granddaughter. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and playing with the kids. You could find him on the golf course, fishing, or having a good time with friends. Jason will be remembered as a great friend, amazing father, and an overall family favorite.
A gathering to celebrate Jason's life will be held at Millers Time Out in Battle Creek, MI on October 24, 2020 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday. Inurnment will be held at Reese Cemetery in Springfield, MI.
