Jeffery Lewis Keagle, 70, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Jeff was born July 4, 1946 in Battle Creek to George and Barbara Keagle.
Jeff attended Battle Creek Central High School and graduated in 1964. He married his high school sweetheart, Audrey Wiegand on April 2, 1966 and the couple enjoyed 51 years of wonderful marriage. Jeff served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1965-1971. He went on to work for Post Cereals for 38 years, retiring in 2001.
Jeff had a strong interest in many activities. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and BMX racing with his boys, ice fishing, camping, landscaping and going on Harley rides with his friends. But most importantly, Jeff loved to spend time with his family.
Left to carry on Jeff's legacy of family are his wife, Audrey; two sons, Gary (Deb) Keagle and Greg (Tammy) Keagle; five grandchildren, Beau, Camdyn, Haven, Chelsea and Beau Riley; a great-grandson, Xavier; a brother, Dennis; two nieces, Barbie and Kari and two nephews, Jesse and Jason.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeff's life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Hickory Corners Bible Church, officiated by Rev. Jeff Worden. A luncheon will follow at the church.
