Jennifer Dey Selby, 77, of Bellevue, MI, passed away peacefully on February 18 in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born on February 6, 1948, in Battle Creek, MI, to Victor and Joan Fettes.

As a graduate of Lakeview High School, Jennifer continued her education in Chicago learning skills she would need in her career as a dental assistant. 

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Alan Selby, her cherished children, Matthew (Kelly) Selby of Mason and Kelly (Mike) Hulce of East Leroy. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Jennifer adored her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Rachel Selby, who brought immense joy to her life.

Jennifer is predeceased by her mother, father, and brother, Mark Fettes, whose wife Peggy and children Nathan (Christie) and Zachary (Gabriella) and their daughters, Liliana and Giovana survive him. She is also survived by her brother, Tom (Cheri) Fettes. 

Jennifer will be remembered for her love of gardening, reading, volunteering at the animal shelter, and spending time with friends and family. She was a dog lover who had a special bond with her furry companions of which there were many. She formed strong and lasting friendships over her many years while working alongside Dr. Puchalski at his dental office in Battle Creek.

Early in Jennifer and Alan's life together, they lived in Washington State and Germany while Alan was stationed there during his military service. She enjoyed traveling, with trips to the Carolinas, Mexico, Canada, and multiple visits to Europe.

A service at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road Augusta, MI 49012 will be Monday, April 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM. 

Jennifer was a kind and gentle spirit who touched the lives of many.
