Joseph E. "Joe" Ogden

Joseph E. “Joe” Ogden, age 69, of Battle Creek passed away at his home on Friday, November 15, 2024. He was born in Battle Creek on November 7, 1955, the son of Shirley E. (Riter) and Raymond J. Ogden. Joe loved going to the casino and playing the lottery. He was truly a Jack of all trades, incredibly funny and the best cook. 

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley in 2013 and his father, Raymond in 1977. He is survived by his life-partner, Teresa Story; his sisters, Gloria Treadwell of Dowling and Rosalee (Howard) Holt of Battle Creek; his brother, Steve D. (Nora) Ogden of Battle Creek; his children, Nicole C. (Yother) Virgil, Lynzi L. Ogden, and Cal R. Yother, all of Battle Creek; and his grandchildren, Shia, Nyjhere, Zyere, Nariah, Tayveon, Kalaijah, and Tyshawn.

At Joe’s request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
