Judith Lee Metzger

Judith Lee Metzger, age 82, of Richland went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, November 16, 2019. She was born in Bay City, Michigan on May 10, 1937, the daughter of Charles and Orise (Goulet) Pennell. Judith graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and retired from the Kellogg Company in 1995 after more than 20 years of service.

Judith married Theobald "Dutch" Metzger II in Kalamazoo on November 22, 1980; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Bambi L. (David) Machin of Kalamazoo and James C. Fogle of Bellevue; her step-children, Merle Albert Metzger of Martin and Theresa Marie (John) Goodenough of Anniston, Alabama; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Darlene) Pennell of Bay City. Judith was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Diana Brandli; a step-son, Theobald Metzger III; and a brother, Charles Pennell, Jr.

Judith was an active member of the Lighthouse Community Church, Kalamazoo. She enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and truly any type of arts & crafts.

The family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D. Avenue (M-89), Richland where services to celebrate Judith's life will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019. Interment will follow at Prairieville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the Lighthouse Community Church, Kalamazoo or Grace Hospice, would be appreciated.
