Kenneth Leo "Ken" "Sarge" Page, Sr. age 80, of Battle Creek MI, passed away Friday May 14, 2021. He was born in Grand Haven, Michigan, the son of Raymond J. and Sarah Geneva (Cryderman) Page on February 16,1941. A graduate of Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1959, Ken honorably served his country with the United States Army and retired from the Air National Guard. He took a job with Battle Creek Ambulance Company as an EMT. He served as a volunteer fireman with Pennfield Township and retired from the City of Battle Creek Streets and Water Department after 30 years.
Ken is survived by his children; Annette Torres, Donna Gaw, Don Gaw, C.J. Walker, Kenneth (Sandi) Page Jr., and Barbara (Richard) Stevens; 12 Grandchildren; many great & great-great grandchildren; cousins, JoAnn LaFave and Gary Cryderman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Page Jr.
After retirement Ken liked to find new experiences by working various jobs, meeting new people on his adventures, and traveling on his motorcycle with his friends, especially Ray Shafe. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and the Wednesday Honor Guard at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Ken played drums in many bands throughout his life and was teaching his shared love with his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek. A procession for Ken's "Last Ride" with a motorcycle hearse will leave the funeral home @ 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21st. A graveside service with full military honors will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the Calhoun County Red White & Blue Foundation c/o the Battle Creek Community Foundation, would be appreciated.
