Larry Raymond Englert ,64, of Battle Creek, MI passed away May 11, 2020.
Larry was born April 13, 1956 in Hollis, New York, the son of Kenneth Earl, and Teresa (Borkowski) Englert. A 1974 graduate of BC Lakeview. Larry proudly served in the Air National Guard Reserves for 25 years. He also worked as an Ironworker for Local #340 Battle Creek and #292 South Bend, IN.
His many hobbies included, Ski Patrol, Search and Rescue, glider flying, scuba diving, sailing and guitar/music. Most recent was his membership in the American Legion Post #257.
Larry will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Joyce (Davis) Englert who survives him. Also survived by his brothers, Bruce Englert and Dan Englert and his sister, Susan Saxon (Kevin). Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
An Honor Guard Memorial service will be held at 11:30 Thursday September 17, 2020 at the Fort Custer National Cemetery. Covid-19 restrictions may apply.
In lieu of flowers or wreaths, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #257 Battle Creek.
