Larry Arthur Titus

Larry A. Titus, 63, a lifelong Battle Creek resident died at home on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

He was born August 29, 1954 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Gerald Edward and Jenny M. (Hare) Titus. Larry was employed at Memorial Park Cemetery and Meijer's.

Larry is survived by his mother, Jenny M. (Hare) Titus; a sister, Mary (Jim) McLeod; six brothers, Jeff Titus, David Titus, Gerald (Carol) Titus, Randy (Brenda) Titus, Charlie (Cindy) Titus; a sister-in-law, Tania Jane (Damon) Titus and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry preceded his younger brother, Garry in death by 13 days. Larry was also preceded in death by his father, Gerald; and brothers, Andrew Titus, Sr., Andrew Titus, Jr. and Martin "Mike" Titus.

Larry enjoyed working on small engines. He was a jack of all trades. He loved to help people. He would often make Christmas wreaths for family, friends and neighbors. Larry fixed many peoples lawnmowers, snow blowers and other things. Larry loved doing things with his adopted brother, Andrew Titus, Jr. They were always watching movies, playing video games and going to baseball games together. Larry was never the same after Andrews passing. Larry loved to plant flowers for his mom and would often enlist his sister Mary in his projects. He also loved to cook and bake for himself and others. Larry had a heart of gold and will be missed.

When Larry needed help around the house, he would enlist Garry, Randy and David to do what needed to be done.

A graveside committal service will be officiated by Pastor Dave Mason 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at West Pennfield "Hicks" Cemetery. Arrangements are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Personal messages for the family may be placed here at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
