Laverne Margaret (Closson) Zebolsky

LaVerne Margaret (Closson) Zebolsky, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully at home with her family at her side, on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

LaVerne was born March 27,1939 in Coldwater, Michigan the daughter of Leham and Nellie (Yakey) Closson. She grew up in Coldwater and lovingly cared for her family as a young woman. LaVerne Margaret Closson was united in marriage to George Edward Zebolsky on August 12, 1958 in Coldwater, MI.

Sadly, LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband George on July 26, 2014. Surviving are her three daughters; Mary (Paul) Mobley of Union City, Marlene (Dan) Osborn of Battle Creek, Lisa Anderson of Coldwater; a son, George E. Zebolsky, Jr. of St. Joseph, MO; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren with one on the way; one great great-grandchild; siblings, Thelma Shears, Martha Sexton, Evelyn Sklar, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband, LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jon Anderson; sisters, Ellen Travelbee, LaVerne Peterson, Francis Forker, Shirley and brothers, Richard, Edward, David, and Homer Closson.

LaVerne loved spending time with her grandchildren and all the little ones. She enjoyed Teddy Bears, doing puzzles and playing board-games She loved her dog, "Benji", Halloween and bargain hunting at garage sales.

LaVerne's family is planning to celebrate LaVerne's life at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Family Farm in Coldwater, 369 Mud Road, Coldwater, MI 49036.
