Leslie H. Capron Juhnke of Hickory Corners, MI

Leslie, age 73, died Friday afternoon, March 1, 2019 in Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

Leslie, daughter of Dr. Manley J. and Louise M. (Hale) Capron, was born in Battle Creek, MI on August 28, 1945. She was a 1963 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Albion College. Leslie was a devoted student of Christianity, a cat lover, bird watcher, and beloved member of the Hickory Corners community.

Surviving are her son, Joseph W. (Catherine) Juhnke of Chicago, IL; three precious grandchildren, Lucienne Marie, Pascal Christopher and Thibault LeRoy Juhnke; two sisters, Linda Schmitt of Lansing, MI and Lane (Thom) Phillips of Portage, MI and several nieces and nephews. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Christopher LeRoy Juhnke and her sister, Lynette Capron-Sherrow.

A service to celebrate Leslie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Gull Lake Bible Church, 1491 Midland Drive, Hickory Corners, MI 49060, with the Rev. Gary T. Cantrell, officiating. Leslie's family will greet friends at the church at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. There will also be a time of fellowship and a luncheon following the service to be held in the Church Social Hall. Final interment will be at Battle Creek Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Leslie's honor may be directed to the Church's Library (see address above) or The Cat Nap Lodge (https://www.catnaplodge.org/donate.html) .
