Lewis Lee Carr, 61, of Battle Creek, MI passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2021.
Lewis was born on August 12, 1959 in Stamps, Arkansas to Beulah Williams and Lon Carr.
Throughout his life Lewis held several jobs. He worked for Labor Union Local #355 for many years, until moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 1999, where he helped to raise his niece Deja and nephews Andre II and Drevon. He returned to Michigan in 2017, and began employment at McCamly Plaza Hotel until their closing in 2020. He was currently employed as a Home Care Aide by Home Sweet Home.
Lewis really enjoyed his grandchildren, family and friends. Making noise, playing with ears, cracking jokes and eating good food were a few of the things he was known for.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Elizabeth Craig, Grandchildren Jayden, Kamden and Kylan Craig; Sisters, Vernail (Charles) Leblanc, Leola (George) Kendall, Diane (Issac) Wilson, Rosemary Williams, Allene Upton, Carla Johnson and Latonya Johnson; Aunties, Barbara Holloway, Suvernia Hightower, and a special brother Michael (Deborah) Hightower, Special friend Gina Hodges, and close friends Michelle Poindexter, and Jeffrey Mcliechey, as well as a host of nephews and nieces.
