Linda Mae Mcclelland

Linda Mae McClelland, age 73, of Dowling passed away Friday morning, August 18, 2017 at the Oaks at NorthPointe Woods. She was born in Battle Creek on October 19, 1943, the loving daughter of Harold E. and Mary Marie (Dustman) Rupright.

Linda married the "Love of Her Life", David R. McClelland on December 18, 1981; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Wendy (Ron) Gates of Battle Creek, Scott (Tina) Adams of Hastings, Jody (Dave) Calbaugh of Battle Creek, Tony (Jonathan) Jones of Indianapolis, IN, and Brian (Christin) Jones of Middleville; her step-sons, Todd (Donna) McClelland of Grand Rapids, and Jeff McClelland of Bronson; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, and a brother Gene Rupright of Dallas, TX. Linda was tragically preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nicole Gates on July 23, 2014.

Linda enjoyed gardening, flowers, hummingbirds, going to the movies, and cruising in her 1955 Ford. A true "People Person", Linda loved being around people and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
