In Loving Memory of Linda (Yeager) Parker

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Linda Parker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Linda passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, at the age of 81 surrounded by her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd Yeager and Mattie (Armstrong) Yeager, brothers Ed, Frank, and Ken Yeager, and sister Pauline Cowan. She is survived by her brother Bill Yeager.

She was the devoted wife of Thomas Parker for 61 years, and a loving mother to Amy (Jim) Shupp, Mike (Mary) Parker, and Sherry (Ed) Feld. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she brought joy and warmth to her grandchildren, Elizabeth Bearman, Jeffery Parker, Emma Feld, Jackson Shupp, Molly Feld, and Katie Shupp, and her great-grandchildren, Baylee Bearman, Cash Shupp, Rosemary Hazel, and Addison Shupp, always ready with a smile, a hug, and laughs to share.

Linda was known for her deep love of flowers, filling her garden with beauty that reflected her nurturing spirit. A dog lover through and through, her loyal companions brought her endless joy and comfort. Her caring nature extended to all who knew her, and her friendships were cherished and lifelong even continuing to meet with her Springfield High School class of 1961 girlfriends monthly.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely. Linda touched the lives of so many, leaving behind wonderful memories and a legacy of love.

In her memory, the family asks that you consider planting a flower or taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature, as she so often did.

Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Miles for Memories in lieu of flowers.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
