Lois Ann Fleming

Lois Ann Fleming, age 74, passed peacefully in Venice, Florida on January 16, 2025. She was born February 28, 1950 in Battle Creek, Michigan to George and Clara Duncan. During her life, she attended and was a member of Pennfield Presbyterian Church.

In 1968, she graduated from Pennfield High School in Battle Creek and went on to attend Northern Michigan University where she majored in education. Upon graduation, she traveled to Florida and welcomed her two children, while working as a middle school teacher. She relocated back to Michigan where she worked for the state of Michigan as a social worker.

She enjoyed golfing, bowling, cheering her children on during their sporting events, and cooking delicious recipes for her friends and family. She also enjoyed keeping up with her favorite sports teams and events, including the Purdue Boilermakers, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim Fleming, her two children, Rick (Melissa) Neglia and Becky (Josh) Lee, her stepdaughter Teresa (Bill) Morris, her grandchildren Katie and Sarah Neglia, Luke and Brayden Lee, Dustin, Ryan, and Derek Morris, and five great-grandchildren, her brother Gerald (Connie) Duncan, niece Kate (Kendra) Wilson, nephews Patrick (Sherry) Duncan and Tom (Sara) Duncan and numerous other family members, neighbors in the Polynesian Village and friends.

A private burial will be held in February at Hicks Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan. A memorial service will be held in Battle Creek, Michigan at a later date in the spring, details to follow.
