Lyndell Martin "Lyn" Myers

Lyndell Martin "Lyn" Myers, Jr., 59 of Athens, Michigan and formerly of Battle Creek died at home with his family at his side on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, after a long illness.

He was born August 1, 1956 in Battle Creek to Lyndell Martin and Mary T.M. (Pickett) Myers. Lyn grew up in Battle Creek and attended Battle Creek Central High School and Pennfield High School; and then joined the U.S. Army. During the service he obtained his GED and later received an Associate's Degree from Kellogg Community College. Lyn owned and operated Affinity Computers for 15 years. Prior to that he was employed for Omni Computer Products as their Lead Tech; and previously operated Anthony's Computers on North Avenue. He also operated Anthony's Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning.

Lyn married Candice D. Mosher on July 8, 2006 in Battle Creek. Surviving are his wife, Candice; two sons, Michael (Kristin) Myers of Battle Creek, Mason Myers at home; four daughters, Michelle Huffman of Battle Creek, Noala Xavier of Brazil, Melinda (Matthew) Maisner of Battle Creek, Morgan Myers at home; and eight grandchildren, Taylor Myers, Kathryn Myers, Elilee Myers, Zachary Piercy, Riley Maisner, Natalie Myers, Christian Huffman and Liam Maisner. Lyn was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Rose Marie and a son-in-law, Nate Huffman.

Lyn never sat still and was always on the go. He loved music and was the drummer for several bands including, "Blue Heaven" "Unbranded Band" and "50 Caliber". He worked with sound, lighting and as a DJ. He enjoyed Ham Radio, fishing, hunting, and especially riding motorcycles. He was an Army photographer and enjoyed photography, cameras and was certified and dabbled in watch repairs. Lyn will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle and friend.

Friends will be received 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Bream, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
