Marie Anne (Geist) Weaver

Marie Ann (Geist) Weaver, 37, of Battle Creek died at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek.

Marie was born May 30, 1980 in Battle Creek, Michigan to David J. and Arla J. (Miller) Geist. She grew up in Battle Creek attending Franklin Elementary, Southeastern Junior High and Battle Creek Central High School. Marie was employed as a manager for four years at Taco Bell in Battle Creek and then in Adrian, Michigan. She was also employed as a Home Health Care provider.

Surviving are three daughters, Sierra R.L. Geist of Battle Creek, Natasha Weaver and Khloe Laxton both of Sherwood, Michigan; a son, Jason Weaver, Jr. of Sherwood, Michigan; a grandson, Noah Washington; her mother, Arla Miller of Battle Creek; father, Dave Geist of Augusta; sister, Eryn Hettrick of Battle Creek; brother, Joey (Theresa) Geist of Battle Creek; paternal grandmother, Shirley Hoffman of Battle Creek; maternal grandmother, Loretta Fordyce of Battle Creek; and also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and all of their families that loved Marie very much. Sadly, Marie was preceded in death by both of her grandfathers.

As a single provider for her family, Marie was strong, independent and worked very hard to raise and care for her children. She had many high school friends that rallied around her and supported her and her daughter through Marie's addiction to drugs; which eventually claimed her life. Her hobbies included drawing and dancing. Marie spent loving time with her kids. She was a very motivated and energetic woman and always liked to be around people.
