Marilyn was united in marriage to Carl E. Anderson on August 22, 1947. They were married for 71 years until Carl preceded her in death on April 5, 2018. Surviving are five daughters, Sharon (Roger) Inman and Diana (Dennis) Inman, both of Marshall, MI, Nancy Anderson of East Leroy, MI, Margaret (Phil Hart) Anderson of Climax, MI and Annette (Craig) Bradley of Augusta, MI; four sons, Carl E. Marilyn was a firm believer in her faith and a member of the Marshall Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a former Secretary of Adventist Community Services for the State of Michigan. Marilyn was active in Pathfinders, teaching Sabbath School, Vespers and going on camporees with all of her children and grandchildren. She loved nature, the outdoors and would always help an animal in need. She raised the orphaned animals, took them to schools and nursing homes to teach others how to care for them and then released the animals back to nature. Throughout her life Marilyn was an active volunteer at her church and in her community. One of her favorite ways to serve others was visiting at many local nursing homes. Marilyn was a true homemaker, sewing, canning, vegetables from her garden and caring for her family were skills that she passed on to all of her children. Marilyn will be remembered for loving God and her family.
