Mary Beth "Mary Beth" Newland, age 76, of Richland, died peacefully early Saturday morning, May 4, 2013 at the Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. She was born in Palmer, Alaska on April 21, 1937 the daughter of Harold and Clara (Wilson) Zook. Mary Beth was a huge NBA Basketball fan and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Mary Beth is survived by her children, Sara Newland of Augusta, Robert "Bob" Newland of Kalamazoo, Vincent "Vince" Newland of Richland, and her sister, Patricia Weitzel of Sturgis. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Bill Zook and Bob Zook.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Breedsville United Methodist, 211 W Saint Joseph Street, Watervilet, MI 49098.
