Nicholas J. "Nick" Grumeretz

Nicholas J. "Nick" Grumeretz, age 30, of Battle Creek died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday morning, June 6, 2013. He was born at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo on February 9, 1983, the loving son of Kristi Mary Angelo and Jerome J. Grumeretz, and graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 2001.

Nick is survived by his parents, Kristi M. Angelo of Battle Creek and Jerome J. Grumeretz of Ann Arbor; his son and "light of his life", Ezra Benardino; his brother, Angelo (Amanda) Grumeretz of Grand Rapids; his beautiful fiancée, Carmela J. Wing of Battle Creek; his grandparents, Carl & Betty Angelo, Frank J. Grumeretz, and several aunts, uncles & cousins. He was sadly preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley J. Grumeretz on October 8, 2011, and his step-father, Douglas C. Graham on November 30, 2011.

Nick was a very loving and giving young man who loved his son, his fiancée and family with all his heart. He also had a passion and love for music and his dog "Nuggett". Nick enjoyed movies, history, art and was a great dancer. He also enjoyed roller skating and going to watch and help out at roller derbies.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate Nick's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at the St. Mark Lutheran Church, 114 E. Minges Rd., Battle Creek, MI 49015 with Pastor Bradley Hubbard, officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
